I’m not clever or creative enough to set up an effective April Fools Day joke or prank. So I began the show with some discussion of Donald Trump. Which has been an ongoing joke/prank for months and months.
Listen to the entire show here:
We first talked about the absurdity of a $15 minimum wage and the massive unintended consequences that will result from it (as my home state will soon be finding out).
The Chicago teacher’s union strike perfectly illustrates a variety of what ills education: lack of focus on education, public unions, insider dealing, runaway spending, lack of accountability, and more.
Meme of the day:
Next up was our regular bi-monthly “Ask the Counselor” with Dan Chambers.
Dan and I discussed the various Supreme Court cases right now (Obamacare birth control, abortion, Obama’s executive amnesty) and the problems confronting the court due to Scalia’s absence.
- “The Guardian” pulled an April Fools Day joke:
hilariously and embarassinglyexplained that his abortion flip-flop was due to (1) a convoluted question and (2) selective MSNBC editing. MSNBC responded by asserting that they played the entire interview WITHOUT edits.
- He also backtracked on his GOP pledge, putting into play ALL of his South Carolina delegates. LOL.
- This week’s “The People VS OJ Simpson” had Mark Fuhrman taking the 5th Amendment to avoid self-incrimination
- This week’s “The Americans” episode review
- “Archer” Season 7 just started!
