This was certainly one of the most difficult shows to do – human trafficking is an unconscionable fact of existence and that was topic #1. Listen to the entire show here:
HausGuest #1 Timothy Ballard
Tim worked for the CIA and Homeland security, focusing on human trafficking and the sex trade. After years of this, he realized he could do more as a private operator and started Operation Underground Railroad. His story is STUNNING.
Gerald Molen, producer of “Schindler’s List,” reached out to Tim about creating a documentary film about the work being done. Molen wanted to have the impact that “Schlinder’s List” would have had if it was released in the early 1940s. In other words, to not just tell a story, but to also have an impact. The result: The Abolitionists.
The movie is being shown all over the country on this coming Monday evening, in a special event, with hopes to then dramatically expand its release. Watch the trailer here:
The segment with Tim was powerful:
HausGuest #2 David Shestokas
Each Wednesday David and I have a short segment based upon his book “Constitutional Sound Bites.” Today we discussed nursing (it’s National Nurses Week) and the importance of George Washington’s famous crossing of the Delaware:
- Tuesday primary results:
