So, as you can imagine, I was NOT happy last night nor this morning. Not so much because Cruz lost, as he was NOT my guy at the beginning of this election season, but because Trump won.
And that guy was and is NOT my guy. At all.

Constitutional Sound Bite
Today’s first HausGuest was David Shestokas for our regular weekly “Constitutional Sound Bite.”
The topic today was Thomas Jefferson. Although Jefferson was in France when the Constitution was being drafted, his influence was of course great. Most significantly, especially in the context of Trump’s win, was his strong feeling that a regular revolutionary fervor was a GOOD thing.
HausGuest – Joy Pullmann
After we solved the connection issue, Joy Pullmann was a GREAT addition to today’s show. A fellow at the conservative free-market Heartland Institute and managing editor at The Federalist, Joy also lives in Indiana and was able to provide some very insightful perspective on last night’s primary.
The summary of her thoughts on why Indiana’s results differed from Wisconsin’s: Indiana is LESS conservative and hadn’t seen the sort of union activity as has occurred in the badger state. This helped Trump.
- Election results:
- Ted Cruz is OUT
- Greg Gutfeld asks if Trump is now the “conspiracy theory” candidate after the Rafael Cruz/JFK story
The show is live at 7am PST / 10am EST.
