6.6 – D-Day, Ali, Mrs. Obama, Assisted Suicide, and HausGuest Bob Siegel

Most folks that know me swear that I’ve no feelings, heart, or soul of any kind. My response to this video of Ronald Reagan, given at the 40th anniversary of D-Day, shows that’s not the case. It’s INCREDIBLY moving and meaningful, especially in the context of what occurred 72 years ago today on the beaches of France:

Here’s the entire show:

HausGuest – Bob Siegel

Bob and I primarily talked about Donald Trump – he’s NOT a fan, however he is FAR less of a fan of H-Rod and therefore supports him.

The conversation leveraged off this recent column Bob wrote:Screen Shot 2016-06-06 at 1.44.51 PM

We also got to his parody column that imagines what a game of Monopoly would be like between the major candidates – this is hilarious:Screen Shot 2016-06-06 at 1.56.42 PM

Lastly, we spent a brief minute discussing the issues raised by “Me Before You,” the recent movie release from the best-selling novel, which has assisted suicide as a major theme. Bob’s major issue: the slippery slope potential – the euthanasia will be used to benefit the state.

Other Topics

  1. Michelle Obama’s “I wake up every day in a house built by slaves” comment INFURIATED me
  2. Follow up: The State Department DELIBERATELY did cut some of the video from 2013 about the Iran nuke deal. They were scrubbing an exchange with Fox’s James Rosen that put them in a VERY bad light.
  3. RIP Mohammad Ali
