THREE HausGuests today! And they helped make a VERY good show. Listen to it here:
- Evan Sayet – Evan and I started the day briefly discussing an important event this coming Saturday: 2 back-to-back comedy shows that are being filmed by XXX in order to create a one-hour comedy special. If you’re in the Los Angeles area on Saturday and want to attend FOR FREE – email evan at ContactEvanSayet@Gmail.com.
- David Shestokas – The bulk of today’s Constitutional Sound Bites segment was following up on last week’s topic: proportional representation in the House of Representatives. David pointed out that if the original 1 rep per 40,000 residents applied today, the House would have over 8,000 members. His opinion is that the founders would have wanted EXACTLY that. We concluded with a bit of foreshadowing of the next bite by defining and briefly discussing habeas corpus. Listen to the isolated segment here:
- Peter Brookes – We intended to talk about several different international relations/military topics but the recent news from Syria and Turkey (significant attack on ISIS) ended up dominating the segment. Peter’s insight and knowledge made for a particularly interesting discussion. Not only did we talk about U.S. interests in the middle east, we also talked about Russia’s increased activity and interest in the region. He’d just recently written a column about it, as well:Peter has also written a book about the threat America faces in the post-Cold War world, as well:
I concluded the show reading from John Ziegler’s EXCELLENT op/ed on Donald Trump and the GOP, which was just published this morning:
