I am VERY excited to make this announcement: David Horowitz will be Tuesday’s HausGuest.
It is no exaggeration to say that David needs no introduction, but here’s a brief excerpt from his extensive bio:
David Horowitz was one of the founders of the New Left in the 1960s and an editor of its largest magazine, Ramparts. He is the author, with Peter Collier, of three best selling dynastic biographies: The Rockefellers: An American Dynasty (1976); The Kennedys: An American Dream (1984); and The Fords: An American Epic (1987). Looking back in anger at their days in the New Left, he and Collier wrote Destructive Generation (1989), a chronicle of their second thoughts about the 60s that has been compared to Whittaker Chambers’ Witness and other classic works documenting a break from totalitarianism. Horowitz examined this subject more closely in Radical Son (1996), a memoir tracing his odyssey from “red-diaper baby” to conservative activist that George Gilder described as “the first great autobiography of his generation.”
His best-selling political autobiography, Radical Son, described how he went from being a radical leftist to a rightwing activist:
He is also a frequent speaker on college campuses and, given the current crazy passion for shutting down free speech and the need for safe spaces in academia, his opposition to racism and anti-Israel activism has him branded as a “radical provocateur.”
Two UC campuses have just identified Horowitz’s Freedom Center‘s pushback against anti-Semitic and Islamic terrorism activism as “hate speech”:
Lastly, David new book, Progressive Racism, releases today:
Here’s a summary of the book:
Progressive Racism is about the transformation of the civil rights movement from a cause opposing racism—the denigration of individuals on the basis of their skin color – into a movement endorsing race preferences and privileges for select groups based on their skin color. It describes the tragic changes of this cause under the leadership of racial extortionists like Al Sharpton, who took a movement in support of American pluralism and turned it into a movement governed by a lynch mob mentality in which white Americans are regarded as guilty before the fact and African-Americans are regarded as innocent even when the facts prove them guilty, even when their crimes are committed against other African-Americans.
Obviously, there are hours and hours worth of topics here, but we’ll have to cover them ALL in the limited time we’ll have together!
The show is live at 7am PST / 10am EST.
