Big announcements for a BIG day.
HausGuest #1 – Phelim McAleer
Last year he also made BIG news last year by producing the Ferguson: The Play – a reenactment of the Michael Brown killing using only grand jury testimony. I was present at the opening night and it was POWERFUL.
He is also mid-production on the movie Gosnell, about serial killer abortionist Kermit Gosnell. Some of the people involved in the project, Nick Searcy (director), Andrew Klavan (writer), and Boris Zelkin (composer), have all been HausGuests this year.
Phelim will be discussing his most recent project: Clinton Emails on Film
The summary: Under-oath depositions with Hillary Clinton’s staff are now being given – and they’re being filmed. BUT the videos are NOT being released. ClintonEmailsOnFilm is a video reenactment of the testimonies, using actors, read straight from the transcripts themselves.
For example: “Cheryl Mills’ evidence is amazing, full of classic Clintonian evasions. She used the phrase “I don’t remember” or “I don’t recall” 189 times. This deserves to be brought to a wider audience–not censored and hidden away.”
HausGuest #2 – John D. Davidson
I have had more HausGuests from The Federalist than any other news/commentary site. And for good reason: it is FANTASTIC.
Here’s John’s bio:
John Davidson is a senior correspondent at The Federalist. His writing has appeared in the Wall Street Journal, National Review, Texas Monthly, First Things, the Claremont Review of Books, The LA Review of Books, n+1, and elsewhere. He lives in Austin, Texas, where he is a senior fellow at the Texas Public Policy Foundation.
For a flavor of what to expect from John, here’s a clip from earlier this year, discussing the impact of the tea party on Iowa:
